My Turn: Good Elections

Two important elections were held this past Tuesday. Hinds County had an election to fill two Supervisor vacancies and Hattiesburg held a court ordered election for Mayor after multiple discrepancies voided the first election.

At least one Hinds County Supervisor was protesting the election process; this was also the same Supervisor who didn't think it was important to fund the elections.

The Mayor's race in Hattiesburg was and is still a tangled web of problems.

Hinds County and Hattiesburg should be ashamed that they have made a mockery of the election process.

Makes me remember what my father used to drill in me when I did a sloppy mowing job, "Why there is never enough time to do it right, but there is always enough time to do it over?"
