Victim's parents: Williams had history of domestic violence against Cromwell

A beautiful fall "hump day" Wednesday in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The parents of Jessica Cromwell, the 21-year-old woman stabbed to death at the Magee Wendy's, say Robert Williams had a long history of domestic violence against her.

Also, authorities are investigating a death  in Pike County. The body was found in a burned SUV early Tuesday morning.

And, with no breakthroughs in the impasse between House Republicans and the Senate, much of the federal government remained closed today, impacting many Mississippians, as well.
