Thousands of job seekers find plenty of opportunities to be a part of the future Outlets of Mississippi retail shopping center.
Potential employees packed a job fair at Hinds Community College in Pearl Saturday in hopes of landing a position at the shopping destination.
More than 3,000 people filled out applications with the 60 stores.
Some were hired on the spot while others have been called back for more interviews next week.
One thousand six hundred people will be hired for jobs at the outlet mall.
"When I got here at eight there was already a line in the whole cuing section and people at the front door said they had been here since 6:30. They wanted to be the first people in. It zigzagged back and forth in front of the building and all the way around the building," said Outlets of Mississippi General Manager Kathy Hackshaw.
If you missed the job fair Saturday you still have a chance to apply Sunday from noon until five p.m.
