The past few seasons Arthur Turner was a big time playmaker at Port Gibson. After his junior season, Turner and his family realized what might happen at Port Gibson and they wanted him to make a move. What the Turner family could see coming has happened. The state of Mississippi took over Claiborne County schools and in turn the Port Gibson football team was forced to forfeit games this season.
Arthur ended up moving to Brandon and being adopted by the family of teammate Jamison Goods. He says the decision was tough but he loves his new school and new team.
Turner is now one of the top playmakers at receiver for the Bulldogs. He had a huge catch on the game winning drive in the season opener against Madison Central. Last Friday might have been his best game, making a bunch of big catches in a win over Meridian and scoring on a highlight reel play.
