Michael Wright has first Hinds County court appearance

A warmer Monday afternoon in the Jackson metro area as October winds down. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the stories you will see on WLBT.

The man wanted for murder, and the target of a manhunt earlier this month, Michael Wright, made his initial appearance before Judge Houston Patton in Hinds County Court.

Also, U. S. District Judge Henry Wingate is expected to rule on a request for a temporary restraining order to prevent Governor Phil Bryant's executive order, requiring Blue Cross/Blue Shield to reinstate 10 Mississippi hospitals to its network.

Plus, the manager of Tower Loans, at 2570 Bailey Avenue, was robbed this morning in the businesses' parking lot.
