Happy Friday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles, and if you managed to celebrate Halloween last night I hope your candy hangover isn't too rough.
Meanwhile, many Halloween celebrations have been held over until today and meteorologist Michael Haynes will let us know how the weather will cooperate with those events in his First Alert Forecast. As for right now, we're starting the day at 62 degrees.
Happening now, Jackson Police investigators are searching for a killer who shot four people at a home on Moon Street. Today a Hinds County supervisor is expected to take a stand with the community saying they're fed up with the senseless violence.
Plus, today is the day that many Americans who are dependent on food stamps have been fearing. Food stamp benefits will be cut and we'll break down the numbers to see how individual families will be affected.
And, do we ever need something to put a smile on our face. Look no further than Julie Levanway who's whipping up some stir-fry Fresh From the Flame.
All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.
