Second arrest in murder of family

Good Thursday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

It's 50 degrees as we get things started this morning. You can expect a much cooler day and we may not even make it above the mid-60s.  Meteorologist Michael Haynes will breakdown today's weather and give us a look ahead at the weekend in his First Alert Forecast.

Breaking news, a second man remains in custody as investigators believe Cedric Mason played a role in the disappearance and murder of a family of three, who's bodies were discovered in Copiah County Tuesday. Jewell Hillery will join us live with the latest developments on what led authorities to Mason.

In addition, we'll connect the dots on how this story has evolved from a search for a missing family-to a murder investigation-to the arrests of Mason and Timothy Burns.

Plus, a jury will hear closing arguments in the case against a former fire chief in Rankin County charged with sex crimes on a minor.

All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi News Now you can get it on Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a great Friday eve!
