FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence police are searching for a killer. Officers found a man shot to death inside his car late Sunday night on Marion Avenue, just off Chisholm Road.

Officers said Eric Monte Watkins, 32, of Muscle Shoals, was shot multiple times while in a vehicle. Watkins' body has been sent for an autopsy.

Investigators said they spent more than six hours on the scene collecting evidence and searching for clues that will lead them to the gunman. Police said no witnesses have come forward and they do not have any suspects.

"We feel like it's an isolated incident. It seems like he may have been targeted. There's no way for sure of knowing that, but at this point in time, that's what we are thinking," said Chief Cliff Billingsley.

If you have any information on what happened late Sunday night, you are asked to call the Florence Police Department.
