Temps dropping this afternoon; freeze warning tonight

It's already a chilly Tuesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area and it's going to be a lot colder. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The first Arctic blast of the season has arrived. The front moved across the state this morning, clearing South Mississippi by this afternoon.

Plus, a Jackson man was stabbed and his apartment set on fire this afternoon, following a disagreement with his nephew.

Also, a former sheriff's deputy, who is charged in a double murder, was denied bond by a judge this morning.

And, a 14-year-old is severely beaten after she is invited to a bogus party and it is on video posted to social media.

In sports, high school basketball phenom, Victoria Vivians, is profiled as she prepares to sign her Mississippi State scholarship.
