BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The FBI needs your help to find a child predator.

His identity is currently unknown but agents say he may be involved with child exploitation and the sexual abuse of a minor.

Video of the man engaging in sexually explicit activities was found online in April 2013 by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Investigators have isolated images from the video in the hopes of tracking this person down.

The man is known only as "John Doe 27" and authorities say he has a Southern accent and refers to himself as Jimmy. They describe him as a white male in his 40s or 50s with brown hair, graying sideburns and a bald spot. He wears glasses and a ring on the ring finger of his right hand.

Additional images in the investigation include a plaid chair and the inside of a home where the suspect may have been. Investigators hope someone will recognize the setting and help them locate the suspect.

If you have any information in thise case, you are urged to call a Crimes Against Children Investigator at your local FBI office. The Birmingham office can be reached by calling 205-326-6166.
