HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville school's football team received a special celebration Tuesday for a stellar season.

Huntsville Middle School's Panthers made it through the entire season undefeated. The Panthers finished the season 8-0. The team also won the city championship game.

Tuesday night, the team, coaches and parents were treated to a free meal, compliments of the Olive Garden in Huntsville. Head Coach Bob Weakley said the team worked hard for what they accomplished this season.

"We were fortunate to do well on the football field this season, but I can say these players have a tremendous attitude and work ethic," said Weakley.

The team also received their championship T-shirts and trophies at Tuesday's awards dinner. Weakley said this is the fourth undefeated season they have had under his administration.
