Fire crew working fatal blaze

Good Wednesday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles.

The chill has lived up to the hype and we are flirting with freezing this morning. It's 33 degrees in Jackson and we're not expecting to make it out of the 50s today. Meteorologist Michael Haynes will let us know how long this chill will stick around in his First Alert Forecast.

Happening now, Jackson Fire crews are still on the scene of an apartment that caught fire this morning. Investigators have confirmed that the fire took the life of at least one person and we'll bring you the latest details on this developing story.

Plus, a double homicide is under investigation in Summit and investigators in Pike County says no one is in custody.

And, the Jackson Zoo is still under the microscope, but officials are celebrating.  We'll tell you why on the AM Report.

All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi News Now you can find in on Fox 40 from 7 to 9.\
