    Five people have been arrested in a Burke County drug raid. On April 26, the Burke County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, Crime Suppression Team, Criminal Investigations Division and uniformed deputies executed a search warrant at a home on the 500 block of Lake Crystal Drive in Waynesboro.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.

    The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman found in an Augusta motel room. Just before 10:00 a.m. Thursday, sheriff's office deputies responded to a call regarding an unresponsive woman at the Economy Inn on Deans Bridge Road.

EMANUEL COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

UPDATE:

On Friday, November 15th, at 3:30pm, the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office was called to respond to a residence located on Christopher Drive in Swainsboro regarding a person suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Upon arriving at the residence, deputies learned that the victim of the shooting, Derrick Woods, had left the scene and attempted to drive to Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. He was intercepted by an ambulance responding to the scene. Woods told investigators that his wife, 30 year old Andrew Sherrod Woods, shot him while they were involved in a domestic dispute.

Deputies said Andrea Woods was arrested without incident a short time after the shooting. She is charged with aggravated assault and is being held without bond in the Emanuel County Jail.

Deputies also said Derrick Woods was transported by helicopter to Georgia Regents University Hospital in Augusta for treatment of the injury. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The incident is remains under investigation by the sheriff's office. Anyone with information related to or helpful to this case is asked to call Investigator David McVey at (478) 237-6360 Ext. 112 or the Sheriff's Office at (478) 237-7526.

UPDATE:

Emanuel County Deputies said around 3:30P.M. Friday , they were dispatched to a shooting at 144 Christopher Drive in Emanuel County.

The victim, Derrick Woods, suffered a gun shot wound to the chest with a small caliber handgun. The suspect and wife, Andrea Sherrod Woods, fled the scene. She later turned herself in to ECSO.

Investigators said he was in exploratory surgery at GRU in Augusta.  The motive is still not known. The ESCO continues to investigate.
