Albany native Jacob Joiner signed his national letter of intent to play golf for Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon.
Joiner was offered in March of 2013 and decided in June to make his commitment.
He says being home schooled has allowed him to develop his skills and make this possible.
"I get out of the house around 12 or 1," Joiner said. "Then I'll head out here (Grand Isle) or at Double Gate."
When asked to sum up the day in three words, he replied "Thank the Lord, he really help me though this."
He signed the NLI paper at the Grand Isle golf course in Albany.
