Hundreds displaced after deadly tornado outbreak

Good Monday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

We're starting the week at 63 degrees and meteorologist Michael Haynes will let us know what we can expect today in his First Alert Forecast.

Happening now, hundreds of families across the Midwest are waking up without a home after a swath of tornadoes cut through Illinois and Indiana. The strong storms killed six people and we'll bring you the latest on the destruction at the top of the hour.

Plus, a mining accident in Colorado killed two workers and injured 20 others. Find out what investigators are blaming the deaths and injuries on in the AM Report.

And, this morning the trial for one of the alleged kidnappers of a Kemper County six-year-old girl will begin in Federal Court in Jackson. Jessica Bowman will have a preview of the trial in live reports.

We'll have all that and more from 5 to 7 on the WLBT AM Report.  If you need more Mississippi News Now we can get it on Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a great Monday!
