Hashish Found In Jackson Home

Hashish has been found in a Jackson home, and a man and woman have been arrested.  The arrests follow a three month investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

Thirty-one year-old Nicholas Allen Jerome and 32-year-old Elizabeth McManus were arrested on Jamaica Drive.  Agents seized more than five-thousand dollars cash, around two pounds of high grade marijuana, four ounces of hashish, hash oil, mushrooms and valium.

Jerome faces several charges including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute,  possession of hashish with intent to distribute, possession of cannabis oil with intent to distribute, manufacturing cannabis oil, possession of synthetic cannabis as well as possession of psilocybin mushrooms.  

McManus is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of synthetic cannabis, possession of hashish with intent to distribute, possession of cannabis oil with intent to distribute and possession of psilocybin mushrooms.

The Mississippi National Guard Counter-Drug Team, Hinds County Sheriff's Department and the Pearl, Ridgeland and Richland police departments assisted in the investigation.
