"Slave" listed as occupation on GA juror form

Officials in Dekalb County, Georgia, have some explaining to do. People were stunned after a form for potential jurors listed 'slave' as a possible occupation.

Potential jurors filling out the new online form said they typed "s" for sales, but what they got was the occupation, slave.

The new online form is supposed to be easier and more efficient than the original paper forms mailed out to potential jurors. But John Evans, the president of the Dekalb County NAACP simply calls it offensive. He said, "We can't go around and think everything is peaches and cream because it's 2013."

A court spokesperson says the list of occupations is 62 pages long. As for the occupation slave, the court administrator says it has been removed.
