JPS bus strike update

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Public School parents received an automated message via phone on Sunday stating there may not be bus services for Monday.

On December 4, drivers stopped picking up and dropping off students in a protest against low pay and working conditions.

Around 6:40 p.m. Sunday evening JPS parents received an automated message from the superintendent.

The message stated there was a possibility that buses would be late on Monday.

The message also stated that breakfast would be extended to accommodate late arrivals and adjustments would be made to schedules when possible.
