3-year-old member of Choctaw tribe in critical condition following Hit and Run

The sun is back on a chilly Tuesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking information about a driver involved in a hit and run that injured a child Dec. 5.

Plus, protesting Jackson school bus drivers met with Superintendent Dr. Cedrick Gray but they say there wasn't a lot of dialogue and sources say JPS may be looking to private transportation.

Also, Crystal Springs Police are working a fatal accident at Highway 27 and North Jackson Street that occurred around 10:15 this morning.

And, Jari, a new female gibbon, was born in the wee hours Friday morning at the Jackson Zoo. She is in the care of the veterinary staff because mom, Mia, wasn't caring for her.
