RUTHERFORDTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -
A mother is in custody and her son is wanted after deputies said a search warrant turned up guns and drugs at a Mooresboro home.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said they seized 4 grams of marijuana, 7 grams of meth, $2,000 in cash and eight firearms, one of which was reported stolen, after executing a search warrant at the home on Hines Road.
Rebecca Elizabeth Whitesides, 43, was arrested at the home and charged with simple possession of a schedule three controlled substance; possession of marijuana; simple possession of a schedule two controlled substance; possession of methamphetamine; one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine; one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a stolen firearm; possession of stolen goods, and seven counts of possession of firearm by felon, according to the sheriff's office.
The woman's son, 23-year-old Casey Carlton Whitesides, is wanted for one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule four controlled substance, the sheriff's office said. Officials said warrants have been secured for his arrest.
Rebecca Whitesides' bond was set at $165,500.00 secured.
