If you didn't get enough of ringing in 2014 until midnight some in the Capital City continued the celebrations Wednesday afternoon. Jackson businessman Johnny Morrow hosted the New Year's Day party at his facility which features a collection of rare antique vehicles.
It all took place at The Room on Woodrow Wilson Avenue. There was live music, food, dancing and entertainment for the event that took guests back in time.
The organizer said the vintage car museum is the perfect backdrop for the day's festivities.
"These cars have been in movies. We were in "The Help", "A Time to Kill", "Ghosts of Mississippi"," said party host Johnny Morrow. "We just got some cars back from Natchez Mississippi for James Brown and of course they're getting ready to come in Jackson and start filming on the seventh you know. And we're a part of the film sessions."
The New Year's Day party continued until eight p.m.
