(WMC-TV) - Police suspended the search for 7-week-old Aniston Walker Saturday evening. Although, the investigation into the baby's disappearance continues.
Investigators used a large number of resources, including cadaver dogs and heavy machinery, searching for the infant after a City Watch was issued Thursday. The mother, Andrea Walker, 33, was arrested on child abuse and neglect charges.
According to the affidavit of complaint, Walker left Aniston at home with a 3-year-old when she took her 5-year-old son to school.
Walker told police when she returned home 30 minutes later, the baby was missing. She said the house was locked and there was no sign of a break-in. Two others have a key.
Also in the affidavit, it states, "Affiant is an experienced homicide investigator and personally observed several hours of interview with defendant, Walker. Based on his experience and age of the child that is missing, Affiant has probable cause to believe the child has sustained serious bodily injury."
Police additionally questioned several family members Thursday after Aniston went missing.
The search was suspended after multiple areas were searched with no results.
