GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Keller Williams Realty Greenville-Upstate held an event Monday to announce plans to help revitalize parts of Greenville's West End.

The firm met at the Kroc Center on Westfield St. where plans were announced that the Greenville Public Works offices currently located along South Hudson Street will be moved to make way for a new park.

Also announced were plans to renovate some of the older, worn down buildings in the area into mixed use and office spaces to draw more people into the area.

Public Works is across the street from the Kroc Center, which opened in 2011. In addition to the community center, other efforts have already been underway to help revitalize Greenville westside.

Greenville's Mayor Knox White was at the event to make the announcement.
