Boil water alerts, pot holes and sewer line breaks are all to frequent in Jackson. Years of ignoring the problems have only made Jackson's infrastructure problems worse.
Now, finally the legislature and City Leadership have worked together to give the voters of Jackson a means to fund the much needed repairs.
If you are a resident of Jackson you have two choices; pass the 1-cent sales tax and get some help from all the commuters who purchase goods and services in Jackson or vote against the 1-cent sales tax and wait for your city taxes and fees to go up.
Either way the infrastructure has to be funded. If I were a resident of Jackson I couldn't vote fast enough to pass the one-cent sales tax.
