Ammo info bill stirs controversy

MS ammo sales and customer information to be recorded under proposed law

An absolutely beautiful Tuesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

House bill No. 231 proposed in the Mississippi legislature would require every person who sells pistol or rifle cartridges in the state to keep records of those sales and it's not sitting well with a lot of people.

Plus, Jackson State University is finalizing its agreement with JATRAN so that JSU students can continue riding buses for free in 2014.

And, today the Rankin County Sheriff's Department told us that they will be responsible for sheltering and feeding the dogs, seized in a dog fighting ring, until the case is complete, which could be up to a year.
