MVSU campus to reopen on Monday

ITTA BENA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Mississippi Valley State University campus will reopen on Monday, January 20th at 12p.m.

The MVSU campus in Itta Bena and the Leflore County Civic Center closed on Thursday and Friday in response to a bomb threat.

MVSU Director of Communications, Maxine Greenleaf, tells us that the campus remains secure. Federal, state, and local officials searched the campus and found no explosive devices or materials.

Classes are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, January 21 following the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Monday.

The basketball game scheduled for Monday against Southern Baton Rouge has been rescheduled for Wednesday.
