Fatal shooting prompts search for two suspects

Good Thursday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

We're just above the freezing mark at 35 degrees this morning, but that doesn't change the fact that it is COLD. Meteorologist Julia Weiden will let us know what it will be like today and give us a better idea of the warm-up this weekend in her First Alert Forecast.

Happening now, Jackson Police investigators are trying to connect the dots in a morning murder. Police officials tell us a 25-year-old man was shot-and-killed, and now they are on the hunt for two suspects. Jewell Hillery will have more information as the investigation develops and she'll join us live throughout the AM reports.

Plus, Governor Phil Bryant laid out the state of the state in his annual address last night. While his speech focused heavily on education, find out what else is on the governor's to-do list at the top of the hour.

And, a massive explosion at a bio-diesel plant rocks a town in north Mississippi. Fortunately no one was injured, but now investigators are trying to figure out what triggered the blast.

Those stories and more are heading your way.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and have a great Friday eve!
