Crews responded to the scene of a house fire that broke out Friday morning on Hill Avenue in Jackson.
We are told that the flames were nearly 20 ft in the air and that power lines were sparking.
Isable Elementary students have evacuated to Jim Hill High School.
A 2nd fire for Jackson firefighters has broken out at 4321 Welota Drive.
Residents say they saw smoke coming from a bedroom and called 911. Flames spread to attic and were quickly extinguished by firefighters.
Chief Investigator Greg Travis with the Jackson Fire Department says, "Right now as we gather additional information, try to talk to as many witnesses as we possibly can regarding both of these fires, were looking a bit closer to see if there is any malicious intent, based on the information we collect that will give us a little more leeway on what direction we need to go."
One firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting the fire on Hill Avenue.Neighbors say the house was empty.
