Mark Hogan is a science teacher and assistant football coach, according to the DeSoto County Schools public information officer.
Hogan is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
"I think it's awful. I think it's a terrible thing I really do," said parent Charles Hutchinson. "I don't much expect something like that to happen. Guess nobody does, but when it comes out it's a shock."
Parent Brad Derrick says he is shocked that a coach could be involved, but he says he believes Hogan may need a grace card of forgiveness for his alleged transgression.
"Just a little embarrassed that the whole situation happened, but still I don't think we have all the information and don't know everything that's happened," said Derrick. "I think we're all susceptible to things that happen. Anybody in any position can make a the wrong decision and do something that can affect not only them but their family and other people around them."
