It's a moment unlike any other in sports, when a minor league baseball player finds out he's about to be a major league baseball player. Brookhaven native Corey Dickerson lived that moment on June 20th last summer.
The 2010 8th round draft pick for Colorado had been called up to the Rockies. He made his MLB debut on June 22nd and came through with his first big league hit, an rbi double.
Dickerson ended the year hitting .263 with 5 HR's and 17 RBI's. Now he's about to head off to spring training and will have a chance to compete for a starting spot in the outfield.
