Open-Faced Steak Sandwiches on Garlic Bread w/ Provolone

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/4 sticks unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, pureed
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • French bread, sliced in half
  • 6 slices of provolone cheese
  • Sliced steak
  • Horseradish crème*

Directions:

Heat griddle, mix together the butter and garlic puree and season with salt pepper.

Brush 1 side of the bread with a tablespoon of the butter and place on the griddle, butter side down and grill until golden brown; turn over, top with cheese and heat for 30 seconds or longer or until cheese melts.

Place bread on a platter and top the cheese with slices of the beef and stop with the horseradish crème.

Horseradish Creme:

  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream, heaped
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire
  • Salt and pepper (fresh ground)
