JULIA'S FORECAST: Another morning of ice & rain

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Winter weather is with us yet again on this Wednesday morning, impacting areas north and west of the Natchez Trace the hardest. We've seen ice accumulations of around .1" - .25", creating slick conditions on bridges, overpasses, and some slick spots on roads. A few power outages aren't entirely out of the question.

Showers continue to taper through the morning, with the occasional non-accumulating flurry through the afternoon. We're cloudy and chilly tonight, and with temperatures dipping into the upper 20s we can't rule out the occasional spots of black ice.

Ready for some good weather news? We're going to have some huge improvements starting on Thursday. Sunshine and highs in the 50s, with temperatures continuing to increase as we head through the weekend! After a wintry start to the week, we may just be ready to barbeque outdoors by the weekend.
