Bull rider released from hospital after suffering a concussion

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Corey Atwell was released last night from a local hospital after suffering a concussion while competing at the 2014 Dixie National Rodeo.

Atwell was thrown off of a bull near the arena railing when he was competing in a bull riding event. As his body started convulsing, the rodeo came to a stop as sports medicine professionals put him on a stretcher and took him out of the rodeo arena.

Twenty-six year old Atwell is from Statesville, North Carolina. He joined the PRCA circuit in 2010.
