Former auto dealership worker gets sentenced

A former employee who worked at an auto dealership conglomerate was sentenced to two years in prison on Thursday for embezzling more than $130,000 over a three-year period.

Jessica Goodman, 33, of Garnett, SC, pleaded guilty to one count of breach of trust of more than $10,000. She was also ordered to five years of probation after the prison sentence and must repay $133,064.

Goodman worked in the accounting department at the New River Auto Mall. The thefts occurred between October 2009 and October 2012, and the money was traced to her bank account at Wells Fargo in Bluffton, according to the Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office.
