JULIA'S FORECAST: Warm with spotty PM rain & storms

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Heads up- fog may be an issue during your AM commute! Visibility has the ability to drop rapidly during your drive. Please use your low beams and leave plenty of space between you and the car ahead of you during your drive.

It's a warm, cloudy, and humid start to the day, with areas in south central Mississippi waking up to temps already in the mid 60s. All will rise into the low 70s this afternoon. We have a slight potential for some spotty showers this afternoon, and any shower that does develop has the capability to produce thunder and lightning.

Very similar conditions are in store for Wednesday. As far as Thursday goes, we're looking at our most active weather day of the week. Temperatures will be hot in the low 80s. Heading into the afternoon, rain and storms will develop, some strong to severe. This will continue into the nighttime before clearing (and cooling back to the 60s) on Friday.
