Jessie May Pollard has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison followed by two years supervised released for conspiracy to commit kidnapping, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice.
A jury found Pollard guilty of the charges after a November, 2013 trial. The proof at trial showed that Pollard decided to kidnap Jashayla Hopson from East Kemper Elementary School.
Hopson was later dropped off at a remote location near Enterprise, Mississippi.
Five other defendants in the case pled guilty and were sentenced earlier this year. The government has deferred the prosecution of Pollard's son, Devonta Pollard because he testified against his mother.
