Clinton High School's Attaché show choir was named Grand Champion at the South Central Classic show choir competition held Feb. 21-22 in Homewood, Alabama.
The show choir also won top awards for best band, best vocals, best choreography and best overall effect. The other top four show choirs to place were Albertville High from Alabama, Jackson Prep, Madison Central, and South Jones.
Attaché next competes at the Petal Show Choir Invitational in Petal on March 1.
Attaché is composed of 42 singer and dancers, 15 crew members, and 12 pit members. The group is led by directors David and Mary Fehr, pit director Robert Allen, crew director Deborah Morgan, and technical director Robert Gatewood. Choreographers include April James, Kellis Oldenburg, Dexter Bishop, Dwight Jordan, and Stephen Todd.
Attaché travels to Los Alamitos, California in March to compete in its third competition of the season, Xtravaganza. In April, Attaché serves as the only host choir of Show Choir Nationals, which has been held annually at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennesee for 13 years.
The Attaché Spring Revue is Wednesday, April 30- Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. each night at the Clinton High School Auditorium.
