Missing toddler case now being treated as an abduction

It's freezing this Monday afternoon in the Jackson metro area after Sunday's t-shirt weather. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The case of the missing Madison County toddler is now being treated as an abduction after an Amber Alert was issued yesterday for two-year-old Myra Lewis of Camden.

Plus, charges are pending against a man who fired a flare gun inside the Walmart on Greenway Drive in Jackson.

Accused murderer Dequan Rose, charged with the December 22, 2012 killing of Timothy Collins, 38, appeared before Judge Houston Patton today.

And, after a hard sell by Board Attorney Mike Espy, Madison County Supervisors passed a measure to create what's called an Urban Renewal District, or URD, to issue new bonds for Lost Rabbit.

Overcast skies and 27 degrees but it feels like 17. Watch your full First Alert Forecast.
