Officials block off area to search for missing 2-year-old

You thought Friday afternoon would never get here, but it did and it's a beautiful day in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

Authorities continued the search for 2-year-old Myra Lewis, who has been missing since last Saturday, by blocking off both ends of Mt. Pilgrim road. Only residents are allowed in with proof of ID and are being told to stay on their property.

Plus, the doors of City Hall are open today for you to pay tribute to the late Mayor Chokwe Lumumba.

And, officials say a 65-year-old Natchez man has been arrested for reportedly flashing a badge and impersonating an officer after he rear-ended a driver in October.
