VPD looking for juvenile accused of firing shots into a vehicle

VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg Police have two in custody and are looking for a third suspect  in the investigation of shots being fired into an occupied vehicle shortly after midnight on March 1.

Police were called to McDonald's, at 2316 Iowa Boulevard regarding a fight between juveniles. As some of the juveniles left the scene, their parents reported that a shot had been fired into their vehicle.

The shots were fired from a Chrysler 300, and charges were filed against DeMarquette Foster, Jamison Chiplin and Billdevon Shelton. Chiplin was arrested the day of the shooting and is believed to be the driver of the vehicle.

Foster was arrested Thursday night in the vicinity of Pierce and Grove street, and Shelton remains at large. Vicksburg Police are asking the public for assistance in locating Shelton. If you have information, please call CrimeStoppers, 1-800-355-TIPS.
