Jackson Police say numbers for property and violent crime are down for the Capital City.  Annette Peagler will have a live report from JPD Headquarters.

So far eight people have decided to run for Mayor of Jackson, among them a State Senator facing a DUI charge.

Educators and advocates tell state lawmakers to move the state ahead, investments must be made in Mississippi classrooms. We'll have the latest from the State Capitol.
