JULIA'S FORECAST: Will it rain on Mal's St. Paddy's Parade?

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We have a beautiful day to finish off the work week! While it's cool this AM, we'll warm up very easily into the afternoon. thanks to a southerly breeze carrying in warmth. High temperatures will reach the low 70s. Clouds will be on the increase though, especially in the late afternoon and evening. A few sprinkles aren't entirely out of the question, although they seem rather unlikely.

We've made some changes to the weekend forecast, and for anyone planning to spend the day in downtown Jackson for the Mal's St. Paddy's Parade, it's an improvement. It looks like a lot of the day on Saturday should wind up cloudy, but dry and warm with highs in the low 70s. During the parade hours there are just slight chances for showers.

However, as we head into the late afternoon and evening, the threat for rain and storms increases. The greatest threat for activity is overnight into Sunday, when we could see some high gusting winds. Showers will continue to remain scattered through Sunday afternoon, with a break during the overnight. We'll cool for Monday and see rain activity coming to an end.
