JULIA'S FORECAST: Warm with increasing sunshine

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Good morning!

It's a little cool as we start our day, but otherwise it's a quiet start. Cloud-free skies mean lots of sunshine... at least for the first half of the day. As we head into the afternoon, we'll actually see an increase in cloud cover. However, despite any obscured PM sun, we'll have nice warm-up into the upper 70s.

Cloud cover will be thick on Saturday, and a few showers are possible throughout the afternoon and evening. However, the greatest threat for rain (and even some thunderstorms) will occur overnight as we head into early Sunday.

Some rain is possible as folks head out to church and brunch on Sunday, but the afternoon will feature improving sky conditions. It will be cooler Sunday though, with highs in the mid 60s. We'll see that cool down continue through the first couple days of the work week.
