One man is dead as a result of an accident in Lawrence County.
According to authorities, around 1:15 p.m. Saturday, state troopers responded to a single vehicle fatal collision on Highway 27 south just south of Highway 44.
A 1994 Chevrolet truck hauling propane, driven by David Jefferson, 54, of Jayess MS, was north bound on Highway 27.
Jefferson appeared to have lost control of the vehicle, the vehicle rolled several times partially ejecting the driver.
Jefferson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Jefferson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision is still under investigation by MHP.
