Double amputee female found dead inside home

Happy "hump day" Wednesday afternoon and it's good to see the sunshine and warmer temperature. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

Jackson police and fire departments are investigating the death a double amputee female found in her bedroom which had been set on fire.

Plus, we're continuing to closely monitor the Pearl River, and how local officials are preparing for the worst. At the MEMA press conference, they continue to estimate the crest of the Pearl River at 35.5 feet on Friday.

Meanwhile, all of Highway 49 is back open after flooding a portion of the roadway.

And, we now know the identity of a north Jackson woman who told police she shot her boyfriend 6 times and killed him.

In sports, allegations of favoritism by MHSAA officials directed to referees.
