JULIA'S FORECAST: Warm & dry stretch continues!

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Our stretch of quiet weather is in full swing! With high pressure now just off to our east, winds have shifted to become more southerly. This allows warm air to flow in, and our thermometer will rise as a result. Today's high temps should top out in the upper 70s! As an added benefit, the humidity will remain low and the sunshine abundant.

We're dry, warm and sunny through Friday, Saturday, and even through most of Sunday. By Sunday afternoon we'll be keeping a watch out for any potential showers and storms as a cold front approaches, although the threat will likely increase after dark. Rain and storms are likely for Monday as a cold front moves through. But activity wanes into early Tuesday and the skies return to a sunny state with cooler temps in the low 70s.
