An Auburn women is under arrest and charged after a victim was struck by a car, causing injury.
Auburn Police say 20-year-old Amber Elise Meadows is charged with assault second degree after a 45-year-old women was struck by her car.
On April 12 police responded to the 600 block of Howard Street after receiving a complaint of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from injuries to her right knee and severe abrasions to her left hand and wrist.
The victim indicated that she was struck by the vehicle driven by Meadows. She was transported to the East Alabama Medical center where she was treated and released.
Police say their investigation determined that the victim was in fact struck by a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Meadows. A warrant was then issued for her arrest.
Meadows was transported to the Lee County Detention Facility with a $5,000 bond.
No other information is being released at this time as the investigation continues.
