Williams Perez worked 5 & 2/3 innings Wednesday, giving up just two hits, as the Mississippi Braves beat the Huntsville Stars 3-0 in front of a school day crowd of more than 5,000.
The Braves scores three runs on eight hits while the Stars managed just four hits. Robby Hefflinger, Braeden Schlenhuber and Cedric Hunter drove in the Braves' runs.
The series between the Braves and the Stars continues Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
