Debates are in the books

Happy Friday from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

That spring feel is back in the air as we begin the day at 60 degrees. However, that feel will include a chance for rain and storms throughout the day. Meteorologist Julia Weiden will sort it all out for us in her First Alert Forecast.

Happening now, voters in Jackson have a few days ahead of them to determine who they will decide on to lead the city forward. Councilman Tony Yarber and Chokwe Antar Lumumba squared-off in their final debate before the runoff election. Last night the two candidates traded plenty of verbal jabs, and we'll have a recap of what they had to say to voters, and each other, coming up on the AM Report.

Plus, the Hinds County Sheriff's Department's Easter themed law enforcement tool is set for this weekend. Jewell Hillery will tell us what their plans are in live reports.

And, Julie Levanway is cooking live in studio in Fresh From the Flame! Check out what's she whipping up at 6:15.

All that and much more is heading your way it begins at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7, and Mississippi News Now continues on FOX 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a great Easter and Resurrection Day!
