Police arrest Madison auto theft suspect

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

 

An arrest has been made in connection with a car theft in Madison.

Thomas James Hooghe was taken into custody by Madison police after the recent theft of a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser from the Baptist Health Plex. The theft happened this week.

Madison Police along with the Brandon Police located him at a fitness facility.

Investigators are working to see if Hooghe is responsible for similar crimes in the metro area.

He's now in the Madison County Detention Center on charges of Auto Theft. His bond is set at $100,000.
